Ashley Belanger is an Associate Attorney at Chris Corzo Injury Attorneys (CCIA), where she represents victims and families across Baton Rouge and the state of Louisiana in claims involving motor vehicle collisions, serious injuries, and wrongful death.
The daughter of an attorney, Ashley learned from a young age the impact lawyers can have on the lives of their clients, especially when the scales of justice are often tipped in favor of powerful corporations that care more about profits than people. She earned her undergraduate degree in International Political Science from UCLA and her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law School.
While in law school, Ashley served as a law clerk in Orleans Parish Criminal Court one year after Hurricane Katrina devastated the region. Her experience as a clerk in that environment allowed her to interact with folks facing some of the most difficult times in their lives and provide the support and assistance they needed to address legal issues in a court system that was still recovering and rebuilding with limited resources. After earning her law degree, Ashley went on to serve as a public defender, where she handled an array of misdemeanor and felony cases and gained invaluable trial experience.
In her practice, Ashley is known for providing passionate, experience-driven representation in a range of personal injury cases. For the past 7 years, she has solely handled personal injury claims, so she understands that victims and families come to her in times of significant emotional turbulence and makes it a point to treat them with the compassion and empathy they deserve. In addition to prioritizing availability, accessibility, and close communication, she also leverages her negotiation skills and trial experience to help her clients level the playing field with powerful insurance carriers that work solely to dispute, deny, and underpay victims. In every case she handles, she is meticulous about handling the legal groundwork that helps position her clients for the maximum compensation possible.
Ashley’s experience and commitment to clients make her a tremendous advocate and have allowed her to successfully resolve a variety of cases and secure numerous six- and seven-figure settlements. Her areas of focus include motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and catastrophic injuries, among other types of injury and accident claims.
Ashley is a Baton Rouge native with a passion for helping local folks in times of need. As a former member of the UCLA swim team and PAC-10 team champion, she enjoys hiking, working out, and staying active when she isn’t fighting for her clients. She also enjoys traveling abroad and spending time with her husband (who is also an attorney) and their two children.
