Lauren Abington grew up in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana as a self-described country girl who lived across the street from a cow pasture and the woods. She has always had a heart of service and a strong ability to empathize with people. When she was 13, tragedy struck, and her brother was murdered. During the offender’s trial, Lauren realized that she was destined to become a lawyer to help people through confusing and difficult times like the one she was in then.
In high school at Bethany Christian School, Lauren was the Vice President for the student government, which honed her problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills that benefit her clients today. Lauren was also part of the Central Community Theater, which built her ability to connect to an audience, not unlike connecting with a jury. She regularly attended pre-law events before discovering the 3+3 program at Louisiana State University (LSU). The program allowed her to complete her J.D. in only 5.5 years instead of the usual 7 years.
In her spare time, Lauren likes to spend time with her husband. He is a police officer and a member of the United States Armed Forces, so she cherishes every minute that she can spend with him.
